ABOUT ALITADOGMA AND HER SHOW

About AlitaDogma
and the Show

As someone who used to sneak her father’s dark detective books and Stephen King novels off his nightstand, I have always been drawn to the macabre, the morbid, and the mysterious. I am a lifelong lover of all things dark including true crime, horror films, gothic poetry and art, mysteries, and hauntings...

Inspired by this passion, I initially
pursued a degree in English with a
focus on creative writing and poetry.
In more recent years, fueled by my
endless appetite for true crime, and
my fascination with all of its
elements, I decided to return to school and earned a B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice. I was driven to gain further insight into the minds and motivations of criminals, obtain higher knowledge of law enforcement, and better understand the intricacies of our legal system.

My desire to have a stronger grasp
on criminality, and learn more about what different variables come into play which can trigger men and women, young and old, from all races, cultures, and backgrounds, to commit atrocious criminal acts led me down this path.

I want my show to go beyond other
podcasts that cover true crime. It matters to me that I use my voice
and my education to have a positive
impact on the true crime community. My show will not merely share cases of murder, but it will view and discuss the crimes, and its perpetrators through manyacademic and social lenses.

Depending upon the type of case or
the story I present, it may cover elements of the criminal law, forensics, criminology, psychology, sociology, the impact of colonialism and the patriarchy, and the social
and the cultural landscape of its time and place.

I hope to use this platform to
enlighten, provoke new thoughts,
encourage challenges to our system,
bring awareness to the potential
warning signs and characteristics of
violent criminals all while sharing
intriguing, compelling, and
captivating tales of murder.
